So now that the Hawks have finished the first quarter of the season and established themselves as legit contender without Hossa in the lineup, I pose a question. Would the Hawks have been better off NOT signing him and saving that money in an attempt to keep as many of the core young guys on the team as possible? Not sure there is a right answer. A healthy Hossa certainly puts this team on another level, and who's to say guys like Sharp, Barker, Versteeg, Buff can't be replaced....

Well I attended my first AHL game ever Friday night. I had gone to maybe 2 Wolves games ever, but that was when they were in the IHL. First off, let me say that my family has been a Blackhawk season ticket holder since 1991, and boy the fan "atmosphere" at a minor league game is a huge step down. I honestly don't see how you get those hockey fans out there that say it's a comparable product of entertainment.

The rink MAYBE had like 1000-1500...
